5 days without San Fran Coffee is TORTURE! I just got back from JB this morning. Arrived at KL Sentral at about 6:30 in the morning. Not a bad trip down but I still prefer Melaka for obvious reasons (thinking of "chu yuk" satay right now). Haven't been on the train for a long time, closed to almost 10 years maybe? Took the midnight express to and back from JB and was a bit paranoid that I'll over sleep and miss my last stop, heh! Yes, pathetic, I know, shuddup! :P

(definitely not a swarm of fire ants)

The day I arrived which was on Friday morning, I dicovered that there are more motorcycles in JB! And you thought that PJ and KL was bad. Took this picture when I was crossing an over head bridge to my aunts car.

(pork rules!)

Honestly, I think this is the only food that's good in JB. I had "dim sum" one morning and it sucked! "Kuey Chap" or "Kuey Teow Kia" that's what they call it in teochew. What is it? Well, you've heard of "Chu Chap Chuk" which is poridge with every damn spare part of a pig, this is the kuey teow version. Having a bowl of thin kuey teow and a whatever part of a pig to choose from. Kinda like "Bak Kut Teh" in a way. :)

(wanna knock some pins down?)

(my aunt and my grandma at Lavender)

This place is interesting, it's a whole bowling alley itself! Haven't seen a stand alone shop which concentrates on bowling itself. Pillars were made of bowling pins and even the damn antenna on the top of the building! o_O They had two restaurants/cafes in there and we had dinner at this cafe called Lavender. You can hardly find any major coffee outlets in JB except for main shopping malls but Lavender and this other cafe called Seasons Cafe are every where! They're like the Starbucks or Coffeebean of JB and yes, they do attract a lot of customers.

(my uncle and my grandma)

(my uncle the biker)

A nice view from a park near my aunts place. Took us 15 mins to complete a round and that's the medium route we took. Yeap, big it is and yet nice. I like. My uncle from Singapore came on Sunday from Singapore to join us for lunch. Didn't know he actually bought a new bike, he was riding a dirt bike before this. It's a Honda, can't remember the model but he took this baby for roadtrips with his biker friends who rides harleys and bigger cc bikes. Cool? HELL YEAH! This uncle of mine used to dirt bike a lot when he was younger. Jumping off dirt ramps, breaking bones of his, and many more. So, my dads a rocker and his brother a biker. Me? Blogging. -_-

(pizza...

(...PIZZA!!!!..)

(... and forgetful grandma.. heh!)

Lazio, if I'm right, a nice classy italian restaurant by the bay. Situated in Danga Bay, a place with loads of food and entertainment at night. Best thing about this restaurant, the price is ridiculously reasonable! I thought it was going to be really expensive but when I flipped the menu, the prices were similiar to Pizza Uno plus better environement! Food was not to bad and their 3 course with a choice of coffee or tea lunch set is only RM21.50. Portion? BIG! Worth the money? SO YES! o_O Poor grandma of mine couldn't remember what she ate later at night. She couldn't even recognise who I was when I arrived and on the night when I was about to leave, she thought I was my dad!

(typical shopping mall)

(choo... chooo...)

I guess that's it. The end of my JB trip. Mom asked me to drop her off at Menara TM for some seminar this morning, went to my car and...

(WTF?!?!)

MTV didn't pimp my ride but my dad did! He didn't pimped it but he Ah-Beng-ed it! He bought some black color arm rest thingy with the brand West on it! This is what u get when you leave your dear home for 5 days. Your parents would wanna suprise you with something... different. For an art director and having his own advertising firm, man he sure has bad taste wei! lol! I really feel like taking that damn thing off but better not le. heh! I guess I'll just have to leave with it. *sigh*
